Losing the mandate of heaven.

I have written before on the regime "losing the mandate of heaven." Here is WSJ's James Taranto on "A Crisis of Authority."

From the article:

"The administrative state, in thrall to a decadent cultural elite, has lost the consent of the governed."

There never was such a thing. "Consent of the governed" was always a collectivist notion, an ex-post facto justification for a power grab. Hard to take an article seriously (no matter how good it is otherwise) with such an assumption at its base.

"What if we're wrong? What if the country collectively shrugs, loses interest in politics, and goes on with life? Then we really will be like China--or worse."

Yes, what could be worse than people giving up on aggression, the central theme of politics, and just minding our own business? We wouldn't want to end up like those hopeless Chinese...

The Ministry of Propaganda always wants us running around chasing our tails about the latest political scandal. Some of us have decided that behavior is of no use. Shame on us! ;-)

Mike, the problem with the 'mandate of heaven' concept used here is that the entire progressive-Democrat left in this country operates under a wholly alien definition of 'mandate' and legitimacy. Obama and marxists like him teach the 'useful idiots' that the legitimacy of elected rulers derives solely from the fact that they are elected.

Note that: derives SOLELY... so therefore any governmental excesses, and "periodic bloody fits like Ruby Ridge and Waco", as you put it, are ignored because of the 'mandate from the electorate', as if the minority - those who stand for limited government, etc. (in other words, US), don't count for anything. This concept of mandate by majority vote originated with early 20th Century socialists in the Democrat Party and has been taught dogmatically in the party and in the Democrat-controlled public fool system for decades now, such that even some moderates drink that koolaid now.

Obama very possibly truly believes that - given not one but two elections and no real threat of impeachment from a neutered, RINO dominated GOP - that he has all the mandate that he needs to rule like Stalin or Mao. Already the libtard collectivist left is saying that the issue of every federal agency targeting conservatives with the full weight of federal power is nothing more than a GOP lie, or at least "a manufactured scandal", as one writer at the Daily Kos had put it. (Yes, it makes me physically ill to do it, but I try to recce what the commies have to say about these things.)

I honestly think that when the cartridge box option becomes necessary, we are gonna have to literally drive them off the Continent. Start the sweep at the Atlantic and keep pushing west till every last collectivist is either pumped full of lead or made to swim their way to China - literally. They are leaving us NO other choice!

And let the CSGV or any other traitors to the Constitution say what they will about me. Bullets and bombs may break my body, but their insults and labels don't mean dick to me. The feds already have me on half of the various watch-lists they have created, thanks to the commies at the ADL and SPLC, a few more terrorist/insurrectionist watch lists won't matter now.

But most of all, I mean every word of what I say. Let them beware.
