They'd be better off investing in brass and lead.

Sales of American Eagle gold coins soar.

Invest in the precious metals-- gold, silver, lead, brass and steel machined into the shape of a gun.

Gold's gotten pricey. Brass is just as shiny.

Invest in a set of brass balls. While millions of Americans are armed, millions will not have the cajones to aim at an aggressor's head and pull the trigger. Balls and mind-set are everything.

Gold is portable wealth. There may come a time when you have to leave everything behind to live to fight another day. $10,000 in gold eagles fits in your pocket.

A diversified portfolio for the prudent patriot includes lead, brass, steel, AND silver and gold.

While doing physical therapy at NNMC a few years back I conversed with a gentleman who asked if I was buying gold/silver. Nope - I'm buying lead and long term food. HUH? Well if I can't eat it or shoot it - it's only valuable if someone says it is. Hmmm - perhaps I need to rethink my investment strategy........
Chuck - while I don't disagree with a diverse portfolio - that 10k in gold is only 'valuable' 'cuz someone says it is...........

Gold and silver will always have value, I have gold and silver because I feel that paper money will be worthless. i am waiting for the price to come back up on my silver and will then make my final purchases. Gotta keep some for "folding" money.

Krugerrands are great but not for buying a loaf of bread. Just like you don't keep a wallet full of $1,000 bills today for "walking around money", don't forget to stash a few bags of "junk silver" for day to day expenses in a possible future environment where flashing an ounce of gold might get you killed.
