Here's what really happened in the Oregon shooting. The shooter killed himself as he was about to get shot by a guy who was carrying.

the Texas story is over 4 years old, not that it's not relevant.

It had to be pointed out to me that this article came out back in 2008.

Strange how we haven't had an incident in that district...

This is a great idea. I just hope that the school does not adopt a policy of:"One size fits all", when purchasing the guns. I have long advocated that people carry what they are comfortable with and to be sure the gun fits the hand. Too many times I've watched people buy whats in "vogue" and the gun was totally unsuited for them. Caliber is not near as important as a well place shot, with a gun that fits. Good on the school district.

Right now we need to be proactive, contacting our state senators and reps to make any necessary changes to state laws that will allow teachers to be armed, and to allow concealed carry in schools. After 911 congress armed airline pilots.
The program has been very successful and we need to adopt the same mindset for our schools.
If the left wants to have a discussion on guns, that discussion MUST include the option of defending our children with something other than spitballs or attempting another law that will fail spectacularly.
