Informed speculation on where the antis are headed.

Newtown, politics and gun control
Already, a rough strategy is taking shape among Democrats in the Senate: Propose narrow, limited gun control measures such as improved background checks on gun buyers and bans on oversized ammunition magazines (like those used by the Newtown shooter), and then dare Republicans to oppose them. Those ideas appear to have broad support, even among many gun owners.
But that narrow approach may be preempted by Obama, who has asked his staff to draw up options for next year that could include broad legislation as well as lesser changes that can be made by executive order. Obama's spokesman said Tuesday that the president will support not only bans on assault weapons and high-capacity magazines but also tougher regulation of firearms sales at gun shows.

There is also the possibility that the Demo's will start out slow, then add draconian amendments to the legislation, that no one takes credit for. Washington has professionals who do this all the time.

The main thing to focus on now is make sure the US House never votes on any of this nonsense. And also to make sure the Rs in the Senate do not let it come for a vote.

The Rs, by quietly sitting on their hands and effectively saying no way, have all the power and the leverage legislatively they need to stop any new gun control laws the Ds and Obama want to pass.

Make Obama do it all himself by exec order. Then, we may get to find out if the 3% can rid ourselves of the 0.003% at the head of this snake.

"Informed speculation on where the antis are headed"

They are headed straight to hell.

All they are trying to do is make more of us criminals so we can be managed more easily.. they see that as the way to disarming us. When they go for one they go for all and we must understand that they will just to push that button for a dry run and see the response.

The other thing we must remember is that whatever they do or try is already illegal by default and has no constitutional standing in this nation.
It will ALL be illegal and unenforceable within the law, which makes any attempt by any of them at any level, be it federal, state or local "They" will be the law breakers, and when the law applies to no longer applies to everyone it no longer applies to anyone.

Traitors, Fuck 'em.

Judge Posner of the Seventh circuit Court of Appeals recently decided that "“The Second Amendment, states in its entirety that ‘a well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.’ The right to ‘bear’ as distinct from the right to ‘keep’ arms is unlikely to refer to the home. To speak of ‘bearing’ arms within one’s home would at all times have been an awkward usage. A right to bear arms thus implies a right to carry a loaded gun outside the home."

Since the Supreme Court of the United States in deciding McDonald v. Chicago has held that the protections of the Second Amendment apply against state governments and their political subdivisions, and with the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals decision, then it would appear that the only reasonable conclusion would be for Congress to repeal all current gun control legislation to remove thse Unconstitutional laws from the books. Each state legislature should also do the same.
